Scaling and Polishing
One of the most fundamental dental operations is tooth cleaning, commonly known as scaling and polishing. Plaque and tartar will still build up on your teeth after eating, even if you brush and floss after every meal. Over time, this can result in significant gum disease or tooth rot.
